I DO NOT LIKE THE IMAGE PORTRAYED OF THE ALAAFIN OF OYO IN LONDON

A lot of people do not see anything wrong with a whole Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi strolling on London Streets and parks like any Nigerian immigrant and making himself liable to unnecessary police control or curious and unpermitted photographs from the general public when indeed he should really be received by the queen or government officials and accorded a royal reception. I think in my own opinion that eminent Yoruba citizens, some of whom have been so majestically received by the British Queen and the British authorities should have made the visit of the Oba more official and more respectable even though it is said to be a leisure visit. I do not buy this idea of the Oba looking like a public side attraction on the streets of London, whoever was responsible for the Oba´s trip should have organized it differently. The Alaafin of Oyo´s office in the history of the Yorubas and in the history of Africa cannot be overemphasized and as such should be preserved and protected and not exposed to undue irreverence.  KABIYESI O, KI ADE PE LORI, KI BATA PE LESE
